Default Xetra xBar 2.6 Task Switcher Released with Added Support for Pocket PC

http://www.theunwired.net/?itemid=2351

"Xetra recently upgraded (my all-time favorite Smartphone application) xBar as version 2.6 and in addition of two new features, xBar also supports Pocket PCs now! <...> I've used xBar on my Pocket PC for the past weeks and it's as handy on the Pocket PC as it is ont he Smartphone because it lets you quickly switch between applications/launch applications without using the stylus - even more handy if you walk or while you are in the car (switching between navigation and other apps)."

You can find more information on xBar on the Xetra website, though details seem a bit fuzzy. Again, I'll defer to Arne Hess, who really likes this app. I'm intrigued at the ability to switch apps without using the stylus. At this time the PocketPC version of the app is only available for purchase from the Xetra website for 6 Euros though trial download is also available.

This is OT but what application is it that has the tabs for calendar, tasks and contacts? That's COOL!

The one shown is Spb Diary. Another product that does the job is SBSH PocketBreeze.

As a register and very happy user of Xbar on the Smartphone I was really happy to see it ported to the PocketPC.

Having installed it on my X50v it doesn't quite have the same usefullness. Maybe if the author changed the okay button to be a close button and had a way of launching the taskswitcher from the status bar as well I'd switch to it instead of WisBar (which is a bit OTT for my use).

Don't get me wrong I love Xbar on the Smartphone. I had to hardreset my C500 a couple of weeks ago and didn't load Xbar onto it. I was completely lost with out it.
