Laplink Everywhere 4 for Remote PC Access from Your PocketPC
"Laplink is pleased to announce Laplink Everywhere 4 (LLE4), the new flexible solution for handheld users who need to stay connected to their remote PC from anywhere in the world. With its unique web interface for streamlined remote access, Laplink Everywhere 4 offers fast, easy access to a distant PC from the widest range of handheld devices. And instead of struggling to manipulate and view a full remote control session with your handheld's smaller screen and controls, you can access your files, email, Internet favorites and PIM data in a simplified, easy to use format. LLE4 also brings Google Remote Desktop Search functionality to your handheld and includes a Laplink Companion feature that lets you read and respond to emails and access and update contacts, calendar and tasks while offline."
Laplink has surely got to be one of the longest-running Remote PC solutions on the market, so with all the competition out there, I'd be interested in seeing how Laplink Everywhere 4 solution matches up. Certainly the Google Desktop Search is an intriguing twist. As for pricing, LapLink has opted to a similar subscription model employed by GoToMyPC. You can opt for the monthly plan of $8.95/month which gives you 1 hour of remote control capabilities per month or if you need unlimited access, you can opt to pay $10.95/month. Annual rates with these same capabilities run $44.95/year and $94.90/year respectively.

absolutely brilliant... turns your ppc phone edition into a blackberry....
permanent GPRS connection (even when ppc is off), with the dedicated laplink companion for ppc, get your emails pushed to the device anytime....
adopted it today
need to fix some freezing/hang issue on the desktop but the rest should be cool

Unlimited access is 22% over 1 hour access if you pay by the month.
It is 111% more if you pay once a year. Am I missing something?

laplink requires that software be installed on the pocketpc terminal side; go2mypc also requires that software be installed on a pocket pc, BUT NOT on other typesof devices
so you can connect from your laptop back to your desktop, or a client's desktop to your desktop, or some airport lounge's pc back to your desktop; without having to installanything, as long as the device jhs a java capable browser . . . very useful
does laplink allow one this "no software install" access from non-pocketpc devices?

absolutely, you may use the ll2go.com website to access your pc files/email/etc.... through a web interface.
It also works from ur ppc without installing their ppc companion...

my answer may be off-topic or something...
but, when i tried accessing my home pc from several net cafes, it is kinda slow (really slow compared to GotoMyPC)...
and i guess its not really meant to be used for telecommuting, etc.
hhhmmm... maybe the reason for the cheaper price?
