Default Loox Owners - Whip Out Your Soldering Guns!

http://www.ppc-welt-community.info/...70&page=3&pp=50

"Wonko over at firstloox.org forums (second post from the bottom) has found a German link to a schematic (by Grundy) that for the first time lists the pin connections necessary for a Fujitsu-Siemens Loox 720 (VGA, 128Meg RAM, long-ish battery life) to have an audio cradle. Theres a lot more to do, including some soldering and testing by more people, but its the first real indication of this capability since Fujitsu placed - Audio Out on cradle connector on a ROM update description dated August 11, 2004. And one of the main reasons I settled on the Loox 720."

If you're a Loox owner who wants to get Audio Out from their cradle, here are some nice instructions for doing so. It requires a bit of soldering skill, but if that's not a problem for you, you can now enjoy audio out in ways you had only imagined. Cool!

Check out this thread here. http://www.firstloox.org/forums/showthread.php?p=27703

Ive made one and it works quite well. Ive now connected my loox to my car radio via phono in on the radio, and can now easily use by loox to listen to MP3's on my stereo. Im sure it will work well with gps also.

My adapted cable is power and audio out. The switch changes between audio from the cradle and from the speaker on the loox.

Hopefully pc-mobile.net will be producing a pre-made version soon.
