APRIL FOOLS: Man Killed By Falling CF Card!
"Bay Area resident Geoffrey Zajonc died yesterday afternoon from an aneurysm brought on by severe trauma to the head. His sister Tricia J. Zajonc told The Observer that her brother's death only underscores the need for increased building code revisions and inspections. Geoffrey suffered the trauma when, at a local electronics store, a support holding up a shelf containing 100 Compact Flash cards broke. The resulting onslaught of flash memory reportedly knocked the victim unconscious immediately"
8O I often joke about how my computers have tried to assassinate me in the past (I had a power supply burn up while the case was on my lap, a CD shoot out of the drive while I was sitting in front of it, and more...), but it looks like in this case, Computers 1 - Humans 0. Perhaps if they had been lighter SD cards this story would have a happier ending.

Seriously, when my brother and I were in high school, we were fighting as most brothers do. I took off after him and whipped a Chips Ahoy cookie at him. The spinning cookie -- pre soft-stuff -- caught him on the head just the right way and it knocked him to the floor. Back in the 70s, those cookies were like mini hockey pucks.
