Default Review of Spb Finance for Microsoft Money

http://www.pdacorps.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=4257&PN=1

PDACorps has reviewed the latest version of Spb Finance that is designed to work closely with Microsoft Money on your desktop.

"SPB Finance is a financial manager that has been around for quite a while and has established itself as a solid product, combining functionality, stability and quick response. However, for us MS Money (and also Quicken) users, synchronizing data using QIF import/export can hardly be considered as comfortable, and this process sometimes has its flaws, depending on the programs ability to sync this data exactly the way we need. So, SPB rightfully decided to release two additional standalone versions of SPB Finance, one dedicated to MS Money, and the other to Quicken. We took the MS Money version for a test run."

Default Close, but not buying yet.

I tried it, liked it, but dumped it for the free Microsoft product. The only reason was the lack of date filtering and I didn't see a way to limit the number of accounts. My Money database is so huge, I can't waste the space with a lot of data I don't use on a regular basis.

It looks like the Quick Edition supports these features, so I think it's just a matter of time before I see them announce support for these features in the Money Edition.

Until then... I'll keep it very simple... and keep hoping...
