Default Is the HTC Universal Tri- or Quad-Band?

http://www.infosyncworld.com/news/n/5870.html

"To be powered by a 520 MHz processor and the next generation of Microsoft's Windows Mobile platform, the MDA IV is highly anticipated due to it being the very first Windows Mobile based device with support for UMTS-based 3G. Interestingly, information presented along with the device here at CeBIT lists its GSM support as being quad-band 850/900/1800/1900 MHz as opposed to the previously claimed tri-band support; all for the better."

Jorgen from infoSync was able to take pictures of a live version of the unit, and has given us North American mobile users a bit of heartening news with news of the Universal's support of the GSM 850 band. I've heard conflicting reports, so I'll hold out hope that this is indeed true and that the device will be useable on networks like Cingular here in the US.

They almost got me WMPE-wise with this one. I just want a Dual CF/Sd slot and I'll be ready to switch from WM, or at the very least 2 SD slots.

Of course dual slots are an advantage, but you have to ask yourself what you would put in those slots. Most things are included already. Actually in a funny way this is the resurrection of the palm top PDA of years gone by. I'm sure this will make many people very happy.

Default Yap!

This will surely justify me asking my wife to upgrade my PPC and Cell into 1! Bring it on...

Almost certainly battery life. For most people (myself included), 520 MHz will be the perfect compromise between power and longevity.
