What I Do In My Spare Time #3: Outback Skin (Windows Media)
And now for the third and final skin on offer. "Outback" is very different to both "Bubble" and "Shady", so if you're interested in finding out the thoughts I had when designing this one, read on!
Having lived in Australia all my life, I decided to add a bit of local touch to this skin. So what can be seen? The colours are drawn from Australian Airlines, which makes great use of orange and white (used in the main interface of the skin) as well as black (which is used in the push-button effects). Then there's that slight shade of blue, which any today theme with a blue taskbar can provide. On top of all that, the orange is somewhat symbolic of the Australian outback, so all up, you'll find "Outback" to be a relatively flat, clean skin.
Once again, it is available for free at Handango and PocketGear, so if you're interested, please feel free to download it and test it out. If you've got thoughts, I'd love to hear them! :-)

Hey Darius, your new skin matches your avatar!
Nice work my man. I notice that all your skins have a nice clean look to them and each have a dominant color theme going on... first white, then black, and now orange...

Very cool 8)
Fortunately for you, however, I have Stop mapped to a hardware button.

No, I wouldn't do it privately. I'm going to be putting the skinning on hold as I need the time for other committments I have. However, I may pick it up again sometime later in the year.

I was waiting for someone to say that.
I decided to adopt a different approach when making this skin, so that meant not including the Stop button. It just leaves a little extra room so the skin doesn't appear too "messy". Besides, it also saves me the extra work involved in drawing a box or two. :P
