Default Sena Releases New Cases for iPAQ 4700, 2000, and PDA2K Pocket PCs

http://www.senacases.com

"Sena Cases, manufacturer of trendy, slim, and functional leather PDA cases, today announced the release of new iPAQ hx4700 cases and HP iPAQ H6300 cases for HP extended battery users. We released our first case for extended battery users two weeks ago. That was for Dell Axim x50 and we have received a lot of positive feedbacks, "said Ramsey Oten, Ph.D., Marketing Director of the company. We have been receiving many requests from iPAQ extended battery users as well, he added."

Sena has been busy! In addition to the iPAQ hx4700 case with support for the extended battey, they've released a case for the iPAQ 6300, and two super-slimline cases that allow the iPAQ hx2000 and the PDA2K to charge in the cradle while still sheathed in the case. Excellent! The cases are 15% off now during the pre-order period, but if you can wait until they're released and are also a subscriber, you can use the 20% discount coupon to save a little more.

I've always wondered, what's the difference between the O2 XDA IIs vs. O2 "XDA III"? Some uses the first name to refer to Blue Angel, some the second name?

And from the photos, it looks like this PDA2k case completely covers the camera on the backside?

But your mention of super-slimline case got me interested though. I never actually took a close look at leather flipcases for the PDA2k before since I just assumed it would make the PDA2k much too bulky (since I have to also use it as a phone), and that it would be too difficult to attach anyway without blocking any of the buttons or functions.

This case (and similar cases) seem to attach just from the back without touching the sides -- does it use glue on the backside then? And does it still feel significantly more bulky in the hand afterward?

So far I've just been using horizontal pouch cases on the belt for the PDA2k. One drawback is that it's more difficult to take the PDA2k out of the pouch (whereas an attached flipcase with a single-click attach/release mechanism like Krusell that I'm used to, is much easier to snap out of my belt).

I doubt the case for 4700 with extended battery will sell very well: Not because of the quality of case itself, but because, from my experience, 4700's battery lasts long enough and most users won't need an extended battery. But, I'm happy to see Sena continues to develop new cases with great quality.

Is the subscriber discount still available? I couldn't find it on the discount page.

Never mind, I forgot that I had only renewed as a "lite" subscriber ops:. Another good reason to go "full". 8)
