TapText 1.0 Released
"TapText is a whole new way of inserting text into your notes, e-mail or documents, etc... With only two taps you can add pre-edited text into any application without leaving it or even changing your preferred input method. If you are tired of entering the same text over and over, then this is the best tool for you. TapText will save your time and effort."
Dinarsoft, makers of MemMaid, have just released an application called TapText. It functions as a little plugin on your taskbar, and with a couple of taps, you can enter pre-edited text into any application. Handango are currently offering a free trial version, and if you like it, it can be purchased at the low price of $7.99. [Affiliate]

Interesting...this actually seems to mimic the Palm "Shortcuts" functionality.

Could be better
I installed this product which has great merit. But it would be far better if the editing interface could be made on the PC and not just on the PPC!

Wow, the best enhancement idea we got on TapText so far.
We'll defiantly look into this.

Great to know Dinar is reading this forum!
I love the typo in Dinarsoft's post that instead of definitely looking into an enhancement, they are defiantly doing it. Wow, that's funny. You'll do it no matter what!!!
How about a drag and drop menu system so the user can define the order they want in the drop down menu? This is possible if the interface is on the PC and transferred over to PPC.
I am really appreciating this product!

Another Idea for TapText
If you made it more secure somehow without bogging down with passwords, this would be great for software registration codes, my kids Social Security numbers, and lots of things I tend not to memorize.
I have done lots of hard resets and setting up Taptext as the first thing I could then use it to add the registration codes to all the other apps I use!

Blame the typo on MSWord's auto correct
One of the other features we're looking at, is a password protected entries (saved encrypted at the menu defination file).
The menu you designed is saved into "\My Docuemnts\TapText.dmd" which you can backup if you want.

One last suggestion!
Any chance that text entry can be cut and paste from Pocket Word or other area of the PCC? I copied a url and tried to paste it in Taptext editor and it would not work. This again would save effort in tapping text to, er, save tapping later! :?
