Default GMail On Your Pocket PC's Browser

http://www.gmail.com

GMail may be available on your Pocket PC. Google recently started making a "Basic HTML" view available to non-standard browsers. I can't see it on my account yet, but I have had numerous reports from others that have and confirmed that it works fine on Pocket IE. Try it out if you have a GMail account. It will either work, or it won't, yet.

Not seeing it either. Funny I was just setting up my gmail account this morning and was wondering about accessing from my pocket pc. This would be cool, if it happens.........

Seems to be almost working for me... I get a loading thing and then it never shows up... before i think it just said its incompatible w/ the browser... don't care either way though since it works w/ pop3 and thus my inbox... now if only MSN (which I am a paying member of) would do the same w/o charging me an extra $5 a month.

You can enjoy it right now with POP3 forwarding. This is an option you setup in you GMail account online. Then you setup a new GMail e-mail account on your Pocket PC and off you go!

It has been working just fine for me

Cheers,

Weeks/months ago, GMail did not allow me to login at all using PIE. I managed to login these few days, but the problem is it stops after showing "Loading ..." :grumble:

I've got the same results as OneAngryDwarf. I tried NetForce as well with worse results - just goes back to the logon page. I'd say it's better than before, but really if you can't get at your mail, I guess it's just different.

I have never had good luck consistently accessing GMail via Pocket Inbox. WebIS mail works, but it takes up a pretty big footprint on my device and hasn't been 100% stable on my HX4705 - sometimes it just shuts down for some reason. I'd love for the WebAccess to work if it could.

Same problem for me. I get to the "Loading..." screen and it never goes any further. The pop3 forwarding is nice but I'd love to be able to view my entire message archive without having to download it all into messaging. I hope this feature gets fixed soon.

This question may seem dumb but what do I set up as the domain? Is there a clear instruction set for pocket inbox with gmail?
