The Serenity of a Pocket PC: SereneScreen!
SereneScreen looks like a cool little app that will allow you to enjoy the natural feeling of a fish tank without pesky fish to take care of! Enjoy what your non-geek friends speak of as "relaxation" while you gaze at your virtual fish tank, conveniently displaying the time. For only $10, you can now have a life away from computers without actually having to be away from computers...

1st post w00t!
Seriously, I have the PC version and I have to admit its the most realistic fish screensaver to date. Unless someone can show me another one.
I think PPCs arent ready to emulate the realism in PC's probably due to lack of 3D acceleration. :?
I feel that flash animation/interfaces are the way to go for PPC's for now. The demo will stay in my HP2210 as a technology demonstrator.

What is the difference between the retail and demo?
Do the fish start floating at the top of the tank after 30 days on the demo version? 8O

The trial version does not allow you to have multiple fish nor does it allow to to change and save options. I use the MAPPC when my PPC is craddled and I want to have an interesting piece of technology artwork on my desk. I would not be without it.

I had just removed the demo from my hp2210. This thing is a resource hog (I had 10 megs program memory free), I had a hard time getting out of the screen, and it was stuttering. I think it's still too pixellated to my taste.
I think I'll wait for proper GPUs for PPC's before I'll try this again. I'll stick to the desktop version for now. :|

Runs very well on my Jornada 567, not in the least pixelated. There is a slight jerkiness compared to the desktop version. I'm sold.
It's too bad I can't get it to work with Pocket Candy. I copied all the files to my screensaver directory, but it just locks up my device under PC.
The reason for the report of pixelation is probably that the app doesn't support VGA.

Yes, it is a memory hog... installation instructions strongly recommend installing to a storage card rather than main memory for exactly that reason. I'll work on resolving the pixilation issues with the next release
