JAVOSkin for X50 Available
"JAVOSkin is available in translucent. Best fits your Dell Axim X50 / X50v as it contours to the devices's design. It includes a detachable belt clip and a removable screw. Retain the sleek, thin look of your device. Protects and covers all edges, buttons and d-pad from any scratches. Holds your device securely in place. Made of high-quality, flexible and durable silicon. Material easily returns to its original form from stretching and pulling."
JAVOEdge are offering a $4 discount on their new X50 JAVOSkin, which means that the case only costs US$29.95 at the moment. The case is ideal, if you really like the look of the X50 and don't want a conventional case covering it. The JAVOSkin case is also washable as well as being made from lightweight anti-slip material. What more could you ask for? Well, speaking personally I would have liked to see a cover to protect the most vulnerable area of any Pocket PC; the screen. Apart from that, it looks pretty good (in every way).

I agree. If they added a flip cover over the screen, I'd buy it in a heartbeat!

I have a similar, silicon, cover for my Dell DJ. It helps prevent it from slipping out of my hand or off the dashboard.
If the screen was covered, I think it would be hard to write anything....

I suspect they mean silicone, not silicon.

Indeed, which is why any sensible cover would have a flap to open and close it.

I might be interested if this one doesn't collect dust too much. I had a similar one for iPaq 4150 and when put in the pocket, it was like a vacuum cleaner. 4150 one had a flip cover, but I didn't care for it much. It easily fell off and was more like an annoyance than useful. I put a screen protector on my PDA, but other than that, I don't think a screen cover is very necessary. I could be lucky, but I carried a Treo 600 naked in my front pants pocket for several months without any problem.

I've smashed the screen on two PDAs that didn't have flip covers. I vowed to never buy another PDA that didn't have one, but I finally had to replace my aging HP Jornada 568 and the only models with flip covers these days have other disadvantages. I finally bought a Dell X50v, which I carry in my pocket inside its slip case. I'm still watching for the right cover for it.

I carried my X50v in the Dell slipper case until I got my leather Senna Case. I'd definitely recommend it with it's pass though syncing etc.
