Default ChemLink Release CMC-3000: Windows CE.Net Tablet PDA

http://akiba.sorobangeeks.net/news_9037.html

"You're looking for a robust PDA with a large screen? The Taiwanese company called ChemLink presents its Mobile Computer CMC-3000, a PDA that will feel right at home in your Land Rover."

The CMC-3000 runs Windows CE.Net and the specs include a 400MHz XScale CPU, 128MB ROM, 64 or 128MB RAM, a 8.4" TFT LCD 800x600 touch-sensitive screen, 1x PCMCIA Type II slot, 1x CF Type II slot, 1x SD/MMC slot, 2x USB Host ports, a CRT/RS-232 port, optional 802.11b or Bluetooth, a 2.4 GHz Long Range wireless transmission module with 2 miles(3.2km) range and a 3600mAH, Li+ battery pack which gives 8 hours of battery life. You can find more details at the ChemLink website and the CMC-3000's product brochure can be found here (in PDF format). If you are looking for a tablet style PDA with an insane wireless range, this could be just the ticket. However there's no price listed, so as usual, if you have to ask..

Default Question about ce.net

The links are not working for me to the cmc-3000 web page.

question - will the pocketpc software work on a machine running just ce.net? if so, how does the software utilize a screen this size?

Yeah, links are dead and linking to the website directly has absolutely no mention of the device.

Fine. The link worked when I posted the story and were obviously working for Sorobangeeks as well. I've found alternative links and have updated the post. Were the rolling eyes really necessary? :?

dude - relax on the rolling eyes. it was to express disappointement that I couldn't get to the web site. it had nothing to do with thinking you screwed up.
