CE .NET-based Olympus R1000 Rugged PDA
"Making its first foray into the handheld market, Olympus has launched the R1000, a rugged handheld capable of running both Windows- and Linux-based operating system. Adhering to IP54 Category II specifications on dust and water splash resistance, the new ruggedized handheld is targeted towards the enterprise, offering a powerful set of specifications in a surprisingly slim form factor."
infoSync World has a brief article about a new PDA coming from Olympus - it's designed for rugged use, which means it will be expensive and not something most of us will purchase, but it looks pretty cool anyway.

Man that's a pretty device. I'd sure love to have that thing as a Linux PDA.
Oh, and that's CE.NET and not Windows Mobile, right? I don't think I've seen a Pocket-sized PC running that before.

Always nice to see more Qtopia based devices. They seem to have forgotten the barcode scanner though.
