In my effort to Turn over a New Leaf I've been playing around with both PhatNotes and PhatPad.
It would be nice to have both app integrated into one. PocketInformants Alarmnotes seems to do that but it doesn't organize notes very well.
I haven't spent too much time with PhatPad yet though.

A tighter integration between the two applications has been requested in their support forums(once by me!) and they have said that they are looking into ways to integrate them.

You guys know that in Phatnote, if you click "insert" then "ink" you can integrate a Phatpad drawing. It would be nice if you could have just the drawing in Phatnote without having to go through the extra couple of menus, but it's not the worst integration I've seen.
Phatware rocks. They have awesome support. A few months ago I asked about decreasing the amount of linespacing so we could get more lines on the screen, and they integrated a "50% zoom" so what I asked could be done. Fantastic company.

It's a bit expensive, but maybe there is a PPCT discount hiding somewhere?
What I like from trying it out is how smooth the drawing is.

You are entitled to the Handango or PocketGear 15% off discount if you're a subscriber.

I checked it out and it says "In fact, our subscriber discounts coupons are very user-driven you tell us what you want, and we'll try to get it for you."
So users pick and choose and you contact the developers and ask for discounts. How well does it work? Do most developers respond to the requests?

In my effort to Turn over a New Leaf I just came out of a meeting and exclusively used PhatPad. It worked pretty well. Much more natural than PhatNotes. But then the real test came for me.
I wanted to transfer my notes to either tasks or appointments and I couldn't find any intuitive way to do it.
Perhaps I need to start a Productivity: Phatpad or PhatNotes sort of thread.
Edit: Done. Here we go.

I just did the upgrade from 2.0 to 2.1, and my god, the animation mode is wonderful!. I mapped draw, select, delete, copy, past, next, back icons to the tool bar and it is cake to make excellent flipbooks, or stick figure fighting.
The animation feature may just cause this program to take up the third largest share of cpu time. Right behind betaplayer, with Gowerpoint's uBook taking first place.
I'm in love
edit: Hmm.. i think i may have hit on to something. that would be very useful to determine what programs get lined up for the chopping block. Is there any way to determine the amount of time a program has spent running and compare it to other programs? I would be interested to find out how i really use this ppc.
