"Cenuco, Inc. (AMEX: ICU) has announced that CompUSA will begin carrying Mobile Monitors in 20 strategic stores across the country and on their website. The Mobile Monitor system, complete with camera and USB base station, allows users to see live streaming video of their home, office, or other remote location via their cellular phone, Pocket PC mobile edition, Smart Phone, or remote computer from any location. The Mobile Monitor service allows you to use your mobile device to remotely access a video stream set up in your home, office, or a place of your choosing. The kit includes a wealthy set of guides to get you up and running, as well as a USB camera to capture the video. More details can be found at the Mobile Monitor website.

My company sells it. It works really well, even with wireless phones (my friend has his house wired with a few and hooked up to his razr). Just be aware, there is a monthly service charge attached to this thing for the service and it's useless without it.

Cant you use the free wm encoder to stream any video source (e.g. a web cam) to wm player?
The only real problem is the ip address being dynamic, but Im sure a static ip address is cheaper than this subscription service.

How creepy
I just figured out how to do this with the windows media encoder and my web cam and although I have a dynamic IP dyndns.org takes care of that little issue.

Remote video
Motorola has a similar product, also offered by CompUSA. It does not require a subscription to forward the images but they are not streaming. In addition to a camera both wire and wireless, the product includes both temperature and water sensors. Aught to be called, House Sitter in a Box.

It shouldn't. It goes to the main site for me. The link wrapped in the "Mobile Monitor website" text is the same link used in the title of the thread.
