Default iTech Release the Bluetooth Stereo Clip Headset

http://www.itechdynamic.com/html/border22.htm

"touch and i.Tech jointly announced today the launch of Nightingale - BSH 338, an innovative wireless stereo clip headset built with Bluetooth technology. This new product will bring consumers true stereo wireless connectivity, allowing them to experience the best stereo sound effects while enjoying Bluetooths convenient hand-free headset. It is designed and manufactured in accordance with Bluetooth specification v1.2 and can be paired with any Bluetooth host device with stereo audio out including Bluetooth MP3 and PDAs."

Wow! Anyone else thinks that looks cool? The Bluetooth Stereo Clip Headset supports Bluetooth 1.2 and has a rechargeable Li-Polymer battery. Talk time is claimed to be 6 hours, while standby time stands at 150 hours. Weighing in at just 27 grams, it supports both mono and stereo sound and makes an excellent compliment to most Bluetooth-enabled Pocket PCs. The headset also comes packaged with a USB Bluetooth dongle. Anyone interested?

Only if it can be used with BT headphones. What good is this thing if I still have wires coming out of my headphones?

I use bluetooth device so that I don't have wires dangling from my head.....so the point of this with the wires is what?
I think HP has the best design thus far and right out of the chute.

Actually, as long as they supplement the thing w/ A2DP profiles to be loaded into Pocket PCs, that'd be great! And actually, this design might be more robust. From what I've heard from other sources, the headband for the HP BT Stereo ones snap or lose their tension very easily. Not to mention, this clips to your shirt, belt, etc so that you don't have to run a wire into your briefcase/backpack/laptop bag. What would be nice is if this thing also has integrated controls like the HP/Logitech headphones.

Actually, if you look close, I think you can swap 'em out for a different pair of your liking, if I'm not mistaken.

Is compatible with the Bluetooth specification v1.2 or is this another HP only deal?

I have one of these for cellphone use only. A single earbud, and no A2DP stereo profile. For me it is great. I don't have the geek look that allows me to where a BT headset throughout the day, nor do I want to. So, this setup works very well. Plus I hate having things stuck in my ear for very long. I can clip it to my shirt, and hang the earbud on it, then when the phone rings I just grab the bud and stick it in my ear. It is very handy, and it was cheap. It is not awkward with the short wire and it isn't connected to something else to cause a hassle in handling it.

I think the idea behind this for stereo use is for all those people who don't like headphones, and prefer earbuds. This works very well for that purpose.

I'm just guessing but I'll bet that the second bud being able to unplug is so you can use it with a single bud with a cellphone. I would imagine that the second bud only has one channel, so plugging headphones into it wouldn't work very well.
