Default AGB Global and Thoughts Media Join Forces

http://estore.shopplex.com/app/stor...=41020102518013

*FRAUD* UPDATE: AGB Global, and the people involved in it (including their CEO, Jon Goss, their Director of Technical Sales, Stewart True, AGB UK CEO Stella Wong, and Tek n' Toys CEO Todd Werbowski) defrauded me out of $28,500 CAD in 2005/2006. Do not invest your money with any of these individuals or you'll lose it.

I'm pleased to announce that Thoughts Media has joined with a new affiliate partner for hardware sales: AGB Global. Here's a bit about them: "AGB specialise in delivering market leading Microsoft Windows based Smartphones and Integrated PDA's. Expertise, knowledge and the unique positioning of AGB brings volume pricing and support into the reach of small to medium retailers and enterprise solution providers. AGB pride themselves on the highest level of service; working with each and every customer to deliver a complete solution to their communication needs, regardless of project size or order commitment."

If you think that design looks familiar, you're right: AGB Global acquired our previous partner, Tek 'n Toys, and our talented friend Fabrizio Fiandanese updated the site. Long-time readers of this site know of the struggles we've had with Tek 'n Toys, so I won't re-hash them, but suffice it to say that I've spent the past two months in discussions with AGB Global ensuring they are the right partner for us from both a product and customer service level. It's always a challenge finding the right partner: larger retailers such as Amazon.com won't deal closely with us because we're too small (and they lack all but the most mainstream of products), but smaller vendors don't always have the size to deliver customer service to match what the big vendors have to offer. I'd ask that everyone give AGB Global a chance to prove themselves, and I hope it will be a fruitful partnership that brings great products to all of you. In today's newsletter you'll see a great offer from AGB to kick off the partnership: a PDA2K with free shipping and free flat-panel speakers. Watch for it!

That's great news! Something good did come from something bad. I like the colours of the site. Reminds me of a bumble-bee!

I have not heard of these guys before, but now that I have discovered them I will certainly consider them when I make future purchases. They have found a great affiliate with the Thoughts web sites.[/b]

Default AGB Global - sorry I gotta be honest, the service stinks

Well, nice looking site for sure (Fabrizio is indeed da man!), and although I'm usually wary of on-line stores that can't even afford their own domain, I thought I'd give them a try in November and order an iPaq h6365. Here's an example of their "excellent service"...sorry it really irks me when the sales team can't even speak English (this is their email pasted verbatim):

_________________________________________________
Hello eric
In reguards to your order for the ipa636 we had a hacker attack that caused a system crasher our security measure in place for such an incidence cause our system to destroy all records of the credit card number for your safety we have the ipaqs in stock and would like to ship them out to you but I would require you to give us a call and resubmit your credit card number if you would like to call me direct the number is 1(403)667-9166

Thank you very much for your understanding and co-operation
_________________________________________________

Perhaps I should mention that when the order was placed the iPaq was listed as in-stock and with my selected shipping method it was expected in 2 days. This email came a week later. I ended up sourcing the iPaq somewhere else, paid less and it arrived in three days.

I understand where Jason is coming from regarding the challenge to find a hardware partner that is large enough to provide proper service yet small enough to care about partnering with 'Thoughts and carry non-mainstream devices...but AGB Global is carrying on the horrid service legacy of Tek n' Toys, and they have lost their chance for business with my company.
