Default Resco Photo Viewer 5.10

http://www.resco-net.com/picview_dwn.asp

Resco has released version 5.1 of their Photo Viewer.

New features include:
Slide show transitions added: Fade Smoothly and Fade Through Black
Browsing of files and folders was speeded up and progress bar was added.
New GUI: Working with application should be more intuitive now.
 Cache file is now settupable
 Optimized thumbnail loading
 Much more...

You can buy at the Pocket PC Thoughts Handango Store for $24.95 or you can use the trial version to test the waters. It runs on all Pocket PC versions.

Default Don't forget, vga support!

This also adds vga support!

Before this version, images would not display using high dpi...this fixed it.

If you're a Dell Axim X50 / X50v owner, you've already got v5.00 of Photo Viewer, but there is no free upgrade to v5.10. Resco does offer a 40% discount (or 50% discount, depending on what the actual list price is for Photo Viewer...their site mentions a 40% discount but shows the list price both as $19.95 and $24.95) for owners of the OEM version 5.00.

Just finished testing Resco 5.1 (along with a lot of other pic viewers). Pretty cool. Check out my article on it:

Thats just one of the things that makes this site so good... there's usually something to give you a little laugh and make your day a little bit better... from the summary of the JAVOedge foldable keyboard "It's all foldey and stuff" to "settupable"

This is from a very recent (2 weeek old) Axim owner. To be frank, while Resco makes quality/superb software products, I find their upgrade policy borderlinine arrogant. For any piece of software which I purchase for $24 or $39, I expect more than 1 year of upgrades. Especially for version updates from 5.0 to 5.10.

This update is especially valuable to my Axim X50v, adding support for VGA and WM2003se. And seeing that I "bought" a full version from dell, I expect to be entitled to the update for free. Moreso since I bought it less than a month ago.

Its a good piece of software, but they lost at least one customer to spb imageer due to their arrogant upgrade policy.
