Default Tweaks2k2 3.0.0 Released

http://www.tweaks2k2.com/downloads.htm

PPCT member and active software developer ctitanic has continued to add features to his Tweaks2k2 program, and with the latest batch he's released version 3 of his popular Pocket PC applet.

The latest changes are fairly minor: time sync support and a new look, but if you haven't checked it out in a while it may be time to do so again. One caveat: you'll need a new registration key; you can get more information on this here.

Thanks Janak!
I should clarify that behind the new look is "a completely new high-resolution graphic design (Sebastian Jorlin A. Potthoff from Firstloox.org) fully VGA compatible. What means fully VGA compatible? Means that Tweask2K2 is the first program of its kind that can be used in the such called Real VGA obtained using SE_VGA or the Normal VGA which is the default in Windows Mobile 2003 SE."

I bought the program previously, and the update is far to complex a process. Each persion who could upgrade for free should have been sent their new code at the same time the application hit the web...

Also, why such a big and probably memory intensive image? I could never work out why the bottom menu wasn't just a series of tabs at the top of the screen...

Anyway, I'm not critizing what it does as I can't access any of the feaures now as I don't have my new key.

[EDIT: 30s after posting the above my key turned up. The turn around was very good.]

I have not changed the registration screen and procedure for more than 2 years. On all this time to update all you needed was the new file installed on top of the old one. If you have any complain about this change, please send it to China, may be there you will find the cause of this problem in a warez site.

I'm sorry but there is nothing that I can do to make the process easier and in another hand I could not keep the thing in the way they were.

BTW, people that bought the program from me are getting the key in less than 10 mins while people who bougth it at .... "Big resellers" are complaining becuase they are not getting in response from those

I'm creating those keys manually and giving preference of course to those who bought it from me.

Ok, I've calmed down.... The upgrade procedure was not too painful after all.

There are a few display issues with new version when run under SE_VGA:

* The tabs on all the option pages are half cut off at the bottom.

* Some of the text sizes such as the ? in the blue boxes and numbers in some number entry boxes (Font size etc.) are too small.

* On the internet PIE page. Why is there a scroll window when all the items would have fitted on the screen?

* On the colors page, why can't I change the color by pressing on the color box?

Anyway, a very useful program with a slightly over complex user interface.

ok, you have to keep in mind that what we call "Real VGA" is not so real, in the reallity it should be called "fake VGA", it's done by taking the dlls from a qvga machine and making your vga machine to use them. What you get from such combinations of file is hard to predict. I could controlled the majority of the font sizes but in a few cases the font size is taken from the system font size and that size is tiny as you can see from your today screen.

The same thing happens with taps and other objets. If you want to see the program working a the real vga mode use it in what we called "normal vga" in that mode the program now is high resolution aware so everything is draw using the 480x640 resolution, this is why everything looks so sharp including the toolbar icons which are resized to 32x32.

This program rocks. You can manually do pretty much everything it does, but it's worth the cost for having the friendly GUI.
