Default Brighthand Reviews The Stowaway BT Mouse

http://www.brighthand.com/article/S...Review?site=PPC

"I use a keyboard to write emails and Brighthand articles on my handheld all the time. I haven't carried a laptop on a trip in years. However, when I'm writing, it's really irritating that, in order to highlight some text or open a menu, I have to pick up the stylus, tap somewhere on the screen, and put the stylus down again before I can resume typing. The Stowaway Travel Mouse makes this whole process much simpler. After literally decades of practice, reaching to the right, grabbing a mouse, and using it to control an on-screen cursor is second nature, and significantly faster than doing the same task with a stylus. "

Overall, this looks like a pretty useful device and, paired with a BT keyboard, it might be a laptop replacement for some. I'd like to have seen some more pictures to get a feel for the size -- do any of you have it and care to comment how big the entire (Pocket PC + keyboard + mouse) bundle is?

This mouse is small. It's about as small as the smallest notebook mice you see. After I opened the box, I was ready to send it back because the pictures make it look bigger, but then I thought why not try it. It's actually very pleasant to use, even with big hands.

I don't have a portable keyboard so I can't comment on the whole package.

Default What's the difference between this one and others out there?

I've seen others out there just like it. 8O Seems to be even the same size. You can even put your own logo on them. Whats the difference between them? (Ex. Targus)? :?:

You realize this is a BT wireless mouse, that works with the PPC. While there are other BT mice out there, none of the manufacturers have bothered to provide PPC drivers. This is it.

Default thank you

Thank you. I didn't realize that it actually needed drivers installed. I'm new at this and I'm constantly looking for ways to just use my handheld.

To be honest I thought this was a poor review.

It had only three pictures in total, including one of software screens reached through a link. It also mentions that it was tested on three PPCs, but only mentions one by name - the Dell x50v.

Admittedly some of the information was interesting, particularly the bit about wifi interference for those of us with wifi, but I expected more from a respected site like Brighthand.

When will Thoughts be doing their own review?

Hmmm.... this + BT keyboard + VGA PPC + Textmaker + Planmaker = Very portable office, and one less reason for people to carry a laptop around.

Does something similar exist but in the form of a trackball? I'd imagine that'd be usable in a few more places than a mouse. Still, looking good.

Please mention if the BT mouse works concurrently with a BT Keyboard. Thanks.
