First Leather X50/X50v Case Available from Krusell
Krusell have anounced a new Leather X50/X50v case and as far as I know, it's the first one available. It certainly looks the part and has got the goodies:
- Fits Dell Axim X50 and X50v perfectly
- Snap closure
- Multidapt equipped
- Comes with Swivel Belt Clip
- Reinforced lid
- Cards and memory pockets in the case cover
- Stylish metallic logotype on the front
- Holes and cut-outs for all vital functions
- Handmade in finest cattle leather
You can see two other X50/50v case views at the Krusell Website and you can order the case from Axim Cases. They ship worldwide, so it looks like we have a winner. 8) The case is US $29 plus shipping and should be available in mid to late December. Just the timescale for a Christmas present purchase.

Hmm, can't find it on Aximcases. They still just show the aluminium case at this point. Nothing at Krusell seems to give a date, or a price.
SENA has announced theirs for preorder as well. Did that last week. Also shipping in Dec. Personally I like the SENA magnets better than the strap and snap, but that's me. Come on Vaja, what have you got planned?

Looks like I may never find a case that can accomodate the extended battery.

I was just sent that info and will be front-paging it later today. I agree with you about the magnets. Much better.
Yup, now we need Vaja to join the party. I want to order in the next day or so, so I hope they let us know what they have planned. 8)

I too would like an extended battery case, but I'm not sure about the extra bulge. It's a hard things to predict how you will get on with something like that.
I have asked Senna and Vaja about this. There should be sufficient demand to make it worth at least one case-maker's while.
Any comments from our case-making friends about the possibility of an X50v extended battery case?

OK, nothing against this case in particular, but a question about the masses of leather cases I see for most PPCs, since I've seen quite a few new ones in the past few days and this.... is really bugging me.
Why are the corners always left exposed???
There's no buttons there so no need to have access to the body there!
When you drop such a thing, do they helpfully land face up/down? No, they land on the corners, readilly exposed but stupid cases!! GAH!!!
Maybe I'm wrong and cases aren't there to protect PPCs, but rather just to look pretty...

I agree about the magnets, but have always used the E&B cases (magnets also)

Well, my leather X5 case has saved it's bacon a few times. I can't even remember who made it, suffice to say it was a cheap, but good looking one.
I hope to go for higher quality this time.
