Axim X50v For $409.10?
I have no clue if this works, but PPCT member ppcrules writes in with the following tip:
Quote: Dell 624 MHz Axim X50v with auto 10% minus $40 off $350 code BPDHZ0CHM?ZBLZ yeilds final price of $409.10. If that is indeed true, that sounds like an awesome price.
Update: Looks like it works if you go through specific channel(s) on Dell's website. Read the thread for details.

That coupon code is a one-time use only offer. It won't work for anyone else.
However, the x50v is still 10% off and you get free shipping. Not a bad deal anyway.

Yup, the coupon is expired. I've been itching for some VGA for awhile now. I finally got a chance to spend some time looking at the hx4705 at CompUSA earlier tonight. It was nice, but too large compared to my 1910. Also, the touchpad was innovative, but on the demo unit I tried it seemed a bit "twitchy" and hard to control.
The main thing I noticed had nothing to do with the hardware itself. I was amazed to find that little annoyances I've had with all my past PPC's were still problems in PPC2003SE. Like when I have a document open in Pocket Word and there are parts of it in 8-point font and a few lines in 10-point and I want to make ALL the text 8-point, but if you "select all" and then chose a font size there is no effect. Or how even on VGA units there is no font smaller than 8-point in Word. (And even when you slide the "text size preference" to smallest, the text shown in Word is not affected anyway!!)
Looks like PPC2003SE is really only going to help me with PocketExcel being able to show 6-point font properly with VGA.
All that to say, I ended up feeling not so much that the hx4705 wasn't worth $650, but more that PPC2003SE is not worth $650. So I walked out of the store without one. But I still want VGA, so I was pleased to see this thread. I just ordered the x50v with the 10% off (even though it wouldn't take the additional coupon) so I got it for $449.10 plus tax.
That's not so bad. I don't really expect this to be all that significant an upgrade from my 1910 given just how minor the support for VGA in PPC2003SE actually is, but at least it should be better for PocketExcel and PIE which did seem to handle smaller text properly. And (hopefully) this will finally allow me to use VoiceRecorder without having to soft-reset after every other note!

They're all like that. Trust me, the touchpad gets a lot less 'innovative' after a week of trying to make it work at all.

<sigh> We should just never both posting on Dell coupons, they all seem to be invalid by the time people get to using them. :?

Code off bensbargains.net worked
The code GCBMDDS79ZD?F8 also worked for me - I tried it by going to the DELL site directly first, but that didn't work. But for some reason when I clicked the link on bensbargains.net it accepted the order!
