New Versions of InterKey and InterKey Portable Multilingual Keyboard Released
Paragon Software have released of new versions of the InterKey and InterKey Portable utilities. InterKey Portable provides multilingual support of Pocket PC portable keyboards, while we previously posted about the InterKey multilingual on-screen keyboard. Headline changes include full support for PPC2003SE, including hi-res landscape mode:
"New version of InterKey 1.2 supports more than 60 keyboard layouts for West-European, East-European languages and Greek. AltGrey key is also supported for several layouts. InterKey Portable 2.1 supports the same layouts for many popular portable keyboards, including iPAQ Foldable Keyboard and iPAQ MicroKeyboard. Thus, InterKey product line covers all ways of Windows Mobile/Pocket PC data input with keyboards: multilingual on-screen keyboard and support of most of portable keyboard models.",
Update: We've just heard from Paragon Software that they've re-released InterKey 2.1 to fix a few problems. The new version's demo is available for downloading at the Paragon website.

What version did you download?
If in doubt, you can download it from Handango here.
It appears to have been updated to the latest 1.2 version.

Their site does not seem to mention support for high resolution. They only mention support for WM2003SE.
I'm not sure where Jonathan got his headline changes from. :?

We were sent an email with a press release from Paragon Software, which reads in part:
Quote:
The new versions of the software are compatible with Windows
Mobile Second Edition and work nice in hi-res landscape mode.

I don't have PPC2003SE or a VGA device yet, so I can't try this out.
I have emailed Paragon Software asking for clarification.

Hmmm, that is a bit of an oddity within itself. If paris hasn't been able to get full VGA support, I doubt it has full VGA supoort at this stage, and thus their statement of work nice in hi-res landscape mode is subjective in its own right.
Perhaps it will be addressed in a future version, but any information you can provide us with Jonathan would be great.

The trial version is not VGA aware since the typical dialog is displayed once you set it up to adice that the app may not display correctly bla bla bla.
As i said before the trial versions i have downloaded from thier site, handango and pocket gear have an installation file dated on 21/06/2004.
If indeed there is a new version which supports hi resolution then probably they have not compiled it as a trial as well.

That seems the most likely explanation. I'll post when Paragon Software get back to me (or they could post here....).
