Default Mobile Gadget News Review: Logitech Mobile Freedom Bluetooth Headset

http://www.mobilegadgetnews.com/mod...owcontent&id=71

"I have spent a little time with this remarkable new Bluetooth headset that Logitech will be releasing at the end of October 2004. If you are tired of sounding like you are in a tunnel or not being able to talk while in your convertible, or when driving with your windows down then this is the headset for you. One friend of mine actually said that while on the Logitech that the sound was clearer than when not on a hands free at all. The WindStop technology that Logitech used on this is simply amazing."

Eric Jones spent a bit of time with Logitech's new Bluetooth headset, and I'm pretty sure he liked it. It separates itself from the teeming hordes by inclusion of two fancy bits of technical flim-flammery: "Adaptive Frequency Hopping" and "WindStop Technology". I promised that I wouldn't make a Beano joke about WindStop Technology, so I won't. Thoughts?

When you mentioned Beano I thought you meant Beano

Still cool I'm looking for a new BT Headset as my Nokia one seems to be completely useless [/u]

Amazing technology? Amazing buzzwords. This is not a hard thing to do but it's just now getting to the point that they can do this but the principal is not new. You just generate an anti sound or use a filter to get rid of the offending sounds. It IS cool, but amazing?

I hope I can hear a caller in a noisy environment. My HBH-35 just doesn't cut it.

I use the Sony Ericsson HBH-600 and it picks up all noises from my surrounding. Not recommended. I can't wait to get the new Logitech headset.

Also, it looks like the Adaptive Frequency Hopping (the hops that happen above and beyond the normal Bluetooth DSS hopping) are to help block Wi-Fi interference. So that's pretty much ok with me.

Any idea what the difference is between the Mobile Freedom Headset ($69.99) and the Mobile Pro Headset ($99.99)?

I definitely want a new headset. My HBH-65 doesn't work well with the top down on my car. I was all set to get the HBH-600 until I saw this one.

The Bluetrek G2 BT headset is my favorite: clear sound, 9 hrs talking time, 400 hrs standby, pairing with two device with a nice look and this is only for the price of $60
