Default Read USA Today And Other Papers On Your Pocket PC For Free

http://www.performance-quest.com/category.html?UCIDs=1219437

Our free publications include but are not limited to: USA Today, The Washington Times, LA Times, Orange County Register, The Daily Herald (Provo, Utah), BYU Cougar Sports, The Register, Utah Jazz Journal, Wired Magazine, PR Newswire, Pocket PC Addict, MSN Slate Magazine, Salon.com.

You need the free MobiPocket ereader and you'll have to fill out a questionnaire, including your name and email. They send you the links to the necessary software along with the configuration information to that email, so you have to give them a real address. I didn't have to answer every question to get the email.

I believe you have the wrong link. This should be what you want.

I've checked this before... Of course I've used my spam trap e-mail address. I wouldn't go there at all!

They just give you the links for something that you can get otherwise. At least the unsubscribe link works

How is this different than using the existing AvantGo channels for these pubs or creating a custom AG channel?

I just tried this and it works ok, but I don't see that it is much different than Avantgo really... maybe a bit more of a pain than Avantgo.

I'll give it a workout for a week or so and see if it "grows on me".

Without even trying it out, I'd say the difference is being able to use MobiPocket reader instead of PIE to read the content. That's got to count for something.

It does. I stopped using AvantGo completely several months ago and now use the MobiPocket Web Companion exclusively. It's a MUCH better application for reading than PIE. :way to go:

I just use PIE and PIEPlus (http://www.reensoft.com/PIEPlus/), and read the news wirelessly. Can't get more recent than that.

I prefer Mobipocket, because you can create your own channels, based on standard websites, mobile versions (like the AvantGo channels) and RSS feeds. It is very powerfull, and I can get my news using wireless email (I use this when travelling).

I've also read a couple of eBooks in Mobipocket format. and I like having one app doing everything. This leave more space for contents.
