Acky's XP Breakout - VGA Game - Reviewed
"Since last week I have a PocketLOOX720. It is a VGA PPC and as you can image I really want to try to take advantage of this fact. Due to a certain lack of VGA supporting software out there, this is not to easy. Since I am a fan of playing games on my PocketPC I am very happy that I was able to do a review on the first available full VGA supporting PocketPC game out there: Ackys XP Breakout. Actually it is also available as QVGA version but you will never want to hear about QVGA anymore once you had the chance to play with a VGA PPC."
This is a good review of one of the few VGA games on the market (the only?). If you've just got your hands on a VGA Pocket PC, check it out. The publisher's site for the game is here.

Looks interesting.
Looks fun, but the demo installs and then won't even run on my Ipaq 4700. It says QVGA screen not detected, you need the VGA version.
I guess the VGA version doesn't come in a demo version...
Bummer, I really want to see how well it cooperates with my touchpad before I buy it.

Yes it does...I grabbed the VGA demo (choose the HIRES version) and it rocked - took me about 2 minutes to decide to buy it - I posted in the software forum the other day about it just FYI.
Think I put a link there.

I'm afraid to try this, I might become as addicted to this as I am to Bust'em!

How is the Loox? Does it suffer from any of the slowdowns the older Looxes had? And how is the screen?

I am afraid I am not as enthusiastic, the touchpanel has a delay before responding to a tap, causing me to miss the ball most frequently. Sometimes I tap the wrong area of the touchpad and then nothing happens :| Any tips from you addicts how to do it? I have been unable to pass the first level after ten tries.
