Default Parrot CK3300 Bluetooth Handsfree Car Kit with GPS

http://www.geekzone.co.nz/content.a...?ContentId=3422

"Based on the Parrot CK3100 Bluetooth handsfree car kit, the CK3300 has the added GPS functionality, With its quality built-in GPS receiver, CK3300 adds navigation functions to the benefits of the CK3100 kit. The navigation functionality of the CK3300 is powered by the Fastrax iTrax02 OEM GPS receiver. The iTrax02 is a 12-channel GPS receiver, enabling continuous tracking down to very low signal levels, with support for assisted GPS (A-GPS). It enables the driver to access wirelessely NMEA-0183 standard GPS data via Bluetooth, while providing handsfree functionality. GPS monitoring messages such as number of satellites active or detected, geographical coordinates, speed, and heading can be displayed on the kit's LCD screen."

I haven't heard anything about the iTrax02 chipset, but the specs seem decent, and I'm all for packing more functionality into existing devices. Is anyone interested in this? Has anyone used any of Parrot's products in the past? What are your thoughts?

I have a Parrot CK3000 bluetooth handsfree kit in my car... and I love it! It works great!

It was a bit hard to find in the States... they are a French company and not a whole lot of their product makes it over here. And when I ordered the firmware upgrade cable I had to order out of the U.K.

the more you can fit in one device the better!

OK and now for the million dollar idea. I'm throwing it out there for free, but if you do make a million off it, send me a few bucks! Just add these functions to a car stereo head. How big is the car audio business? Yet I was surprised to see no aftermarket units with speakerphone or gps? Maybe I just didn't look hard enough, but you would think this would be a natural add on.

I like the idea, combining cellphone speaker handsfree kit with GPS...

I don't remember exactly, isn't Fastrax the hybrid GPSone solution brand from Qualcomm? The name, and the fact it mentions "assisted GPS" reminded me...
