Updated Ship Date For iPAQ hx4700?
PPCT reader Ted Fitch writes in with the news that the HP Small and Medium Business Online Store is listing the hx4700 with an estimated ship date of 9/20. Apparently, the confidentiality in the hx4700's FCC filing drops that same day, so there's a good likelihood it'll ship then. I wonder if they'll be the first of all "resellers" to ship -- too bad HP charges tax for many of the states they do business in.
Update: Now it says 9/21. Uh-oh... 8O

Yeah, but the standard and extended batteries are still listed as "Out of Stock". Even if my pre-ordered 4700 show up on the 20th it won't become my primary device until I have two batteries for it, even if that means buying another 4700.
My days are just too long for one battery and I can't always get near a charger. I can remember to charge my batteries when I get my few hours of sleep, but for the rest of my 18 hour day I need my little buddy to go where I go and do whatever I need it to do.

Five days? No way I could be so lucky. This'd be a perfect pre-anniversary gift to myself. I'll just get my fiance some diamonds so she won't notice when her Hyperspace Delivery Boy gaming device gets more powerful.... :ladysman:

Why it's changed!! It did say 9/20 when I ordered mine. My order confirmation says estimated ship date of 9/20 and estimated delivery of 9/21 ($10 for fed ex priority overnight is not a bad deal).
I guess people are snapping them up pretty fast if the estimated ship date has moved already!

Yeah, it DID say 9/20.. weird. Well, I'm ordering tomorrow morning with my educational discount and definitely getting that $10 overnight shipping. Sometimes I love being a college student... (sometimes). Hmm, it should come out to around $641 after tax and shipping. That sucks.

But if you go thorugh this link and place it in your cart is says 9/20 estimated ship date
http://h10010.www1.hp.com/wwpc/us/en...61-420534.html
Funny HP, messing with us all!
and upon EDIT...ooops...the "pre placing it in your cart" says estimated ship date of 9/20, but then when you actually place it in your cart it does say 9/21

I can't be bothered calculating the actual delivery date if it goes up by one day every 15 minutes.
EDIT: Actually I think it goes to infinity, which would suit HP.
