Sygic's .mobile Contacts: "Finger-Friendly" Contacts Manager
Sygic has just released a new product -- .mobile contacts -- which provides a thumbable/single-handable contacts interface for your Pocket PC.
Unfortunately, this version isn't for Pocket PC Phones -- that version is coming in September, which I'll have to check out. In the meantime, you can download a trial or purchase a copy from Handango. [Affiliate]

Nice concept...
Nice concept... but $30 is a bit steep!
I think this will be of much more use/value on a Pocker PC Phone when you can dial the contact.

Im glad some-one is doing some more innovative interface work. What would also be very nice would be to access most functions without ever touching the screen, using the buttons and d-pad. That would make for better one-handed usage, especially on a pocketpcphone.

I think the only ways for this to be of any massive use is if you have a GSM/CDMA enabled PDA that also has a camera so you can put your own contact pictures in. Either that or you can take pics with your digital camera and then upload the images in which would be a pain in the ass.

I'm not usually so direct here but I'm not being a passive consumer anymore. This price is nuts. I was interested in DL'ing the trial until I saw that. No longer interested.

Interesting, and aesthetically pleasing. And the author is a Pulp Fiction fan, which means 'good' in my book. But, yeah, 30 bucks? Too maach.

i agree with Surur - one handed operation is where it's at. i've been demo'ing a Treo and Goodlink Server. i can't believe how well designed and easy to use the GUI and the Dpad is.
the option is still there to pull out the stylus and do some hardcore work, but for reading email, or working with calendar/contacts, one handed operation is extremely helpful. it's especially more important for any device with phone capabilities.
i still prefer my HP4355 (much bigger keyboard), but sometimes long for some of the Treo/Goodlink shortcuts and controls.

I think that interface rocks! $30? I think $20 would be more reasonable.

Thanks for your comments, guys! We really appreciate your feedback.
It's our priority to create software that is nice and easy-to-use. We believe, that basic applications in Pocket PC should be more "finger-friendly", so that you wouldn't have to use your both hands and chair if you wanted to dial your mom's number
Regarding the price: it might go lower when we introduce the version for Phone Edition!

Well, great job, Sygic. The interface looks great and it's really user-friendly. But I've got several questions.
First, can I attach my own photo to a contact? As far as I can see, I can only use included ones... That's not enough
Second, it would be great if you'll make contact details and contact edit with similar interface. If not, please make selection of PIM manager - many prefer to use Pocket Informant or Agenda Fusion, not Contacts...
Third... I think it's hard to hope... But... Can you make way to modify "Jump To" letters for non-english users?
Thanks one more time.
