Rumors On The iPAQ rw6100
http://www.ipaqabilities.com/iaforums/viewtopic.php?t=281
iPAQabilites has found some pictures of what is rumored to be the iPAQ rw6100, a CDMA Pocket PC Phone. It has a slide-out 10 key touchpad and built in 1.1 megapixel camera.

Other rumored features are WiFi support, 1xRTT, 64MB of RAM, 128MB of ROM which contains WM2003SE. Bluetooth is not included.
Update: More pictures and specs here. Looks like this would be a rebranded LG SC8000, which we posted on earlier. As of this moment, we have no clue if it's coming to North America or not.

Personally I like the slide out thumb keyboard better than the 10-key (ala MDA III versus this). And what's with HP putting all this ROM in the device? Sure it survives a hard reset but it's much slower and can't be sed to run programs (it's only storage memory, RAM is storage/program memory)..

Nice, but where the heck did this come from? Am I the only one totally surprised by this?
The biggest problem I personally have with the iPaq 6300 is the lack of a built in keypad / thumb-board. I dial a lot and don't want to tap the screen that much. The fact that this has a nice, sliding keypad with big keys is interesting and good (IMO).
Hmm, WiFi but no Bluetooth? Weird. I'd probably rather have Bluetooth than WiFi, but its a tough choice (no one should be forced to choose). Odd that it doesn't have Bluetooth being a phone and all. OHHHH its CDMA....that explains it. I beginning to believe CDMA and Bluetooth are incompatible technologies

the screen is way to small. I like the idea of having connectivity in my PPC but I hate the idea of having Office software in my phone more when the screen is so small

Funny, Sprint thinks they already figured that out. Of course, Verizon doesn't seem to think so.

anyone else think this is fake? Why would this pocket pc have a number pad when you can do that with software? And if it is real, imagine how long it would be 8O
I do like the idea of a CDMA phone though with wifi

It looks too sexy to be an iPaq. Send it back to development for "improvement".

(Deep inside the company 'x' design room)
Guy1:"OKay guys, we have to find a way to get a camera in this thing. For every product that has a camera we get a healthy kickback. So how do we make it fit?"
Guy 2:"We could remove the bluetooth chips. No one ever uses that... and put in a smaller battery."
Guy1:"Your a genious Rick!"
Guy2:"Thats Philip sir..."

CDMA, and no BT. Sorry -- not for me.
In any case, this doesn't really agree with the design philosophy of the new line, nor the immediately previous line. It looks more like a Samsung (especially the blue button in the middle of a circuilar D-pad).

Indeed, Verizon has FINALLY (its the second half of 2004 folks) released a Bluetooth phone. While it took them FOREVER and a day, we must give posative reinforcement when its due.
