News inMotion Mobil Email News Aggregation Service Launched
Mikhail contacted us to let us know that he was launching a new service for Mobile devices, called News inMotion. News inMotion delivers user customized news content formatted for handheld devices. Users can select up to 5 news feeds, which are then formatted to be read on a mobile device and then emailed to him/her. The service can pull news and updates from any websites that have a RSS / XML feed. Sites ranging from the New York Times, Yahoo! to personal blogs offer RSS/XML feed options. You can insert feeds of your choice or use News inMotion 's list of some of the most popular feeds. Devices currently supported include the BlackBerry, Sidekick, Treo, iPaq, Voq and 'Other'. A Voq turns out to be a smartphone with a hinged keyboard, but why list iPaq instead of Pocket Pc? Its not like the term is generic or synonymous with Pocket PCs. :?
This looks like an interesting news aggregation push service, with the angle that no web browser is required as the news arrives as a standard email. Oh and it's free though users should note that they require a valid ZIP code before you can register. [Hint to News inMotion most folks in the world do not live in the US and don't have ZIP codes]. Any takers?
[Edit] News inMotion have already updated their site to list 'Pocket PC' instead of 'iPAQ' and now have an option for non-US users to bypass the ZIP code requirement. Nice fast response that. 8)

I know what you mean, but iPaq has become synonymous with PPC, in a way, the same way that everyone used to call ALL PDAs "Palms". I can't say I like it too much anymore, but they did have the largest market share for PPC.
It does look like an interesting service though

Suggestions Implemented
Both things have been fixed.
The site now lists PocketPC instead of the iPaq and has an option for non US-visitors. We welcome all international users. =) .
If you have any other suggestions; we're listening!
