Default TextMaker & PlanMaker Updated for WM2003SE; TextMaker 50% Off This Week Only

http://www.softmaker.de/tmp_en.htm

"Effective immediately, SoftMaker has begun shipping updated versions of both programs that now offer full support for the new Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition operating system. The major benefit for the user: TextMaker and PlanMaker support high-resolution screens (640*480 pixels) that were introduced with Windows Mobile Second Edition, and landscape viewing of word processing and spreadsheet files. High resolution lets the users see more of their documents at the same time, and landscape (widescreen) mode is perfect for intricate spreadsheet files.

50 PERCENT DISCOUNT: Customers ordering TextMaker this week receive a discount of 50% off the regular retail price. Place your order no later than August 15 and pay just US$24.95 instead of US$49.95."

Graphic scaled down

TextMaker is a killer app, and they've just made it better. Compliance with the new OS: Good. More available screen on VGA devices: Good. 50% Off: AWESOME. If there's one Pocket PC application worth 50 bucks, this is it, and it's an absolute steal at $25. PlanMaker is no slouch either, and arguably benefits from the increased screen real estate even more than TextMaker. Who's on board with this?

I have and regularly use Textmaker. In my opinion it is not worth $50; but it IS worth $25, so snap it up while you can!

Default TM and PM

Both are excellent apps, and while a bit pricey at the normal price, half-off is indeed a bargain. I have been waiting for the SE update for sometime as I have a WM2003SE equipped e800 - glad to see them providing the support for it. Hopefully we'll see even more apps updated for SE now that the hx4700 is close to being on the shelf.

For anyone who needs real word processing power on the go or works with Word documents on their PPC, TextMaker is a two-thumbs-up choice. No lame, format-destroying poor relation like Pocket Word, it preserves all of the layout and formatting options found in desktop Word so you can work with your documents in native format and sync them intact back to your desktop.

The addition of SE support makes this a must-have if, like me, you travel with a PPC instead of a notebook whenever possible. The 50% discount is icing on the cake. Snap this up while it's available.

Yes, it is, and all customers with correct e-mail addresses on file have already received download information.

Yes, it is. You should have received an email giving you a link to their download page, where it is listed as a service pack. If you didn't get the email, you should get in touch with TextMaker so they send you the link. You cannot download the update (Build 400) from their standard downloads area, though it will show as one available through an emailed link.

I bought TextMaker when it was first released and use it more than any other app on my Axim. Although I too would've preferred a lower price, Softmaker has one of the best support policies EVER, so the purchase was a wise one. TextMaker is silly with features, is constantly updated, and frees me from the need to lug a laptop on every trip. As soon as I get a VGA PPC, I'll be buying PlanMaker, too.

About 6 MBytes in storage space (but this depends on the spelling dictionaries you install) and 3 MBytes while running. You can install to a storage card to free internal memory.
