Mobilympics
PCdeBolso, of Euro de Bolso fame, has done it again. They've created a nice looking application that you can use during the Olympic Games in Athens to keep track of the results in the 7 sports where a country is represented by a national team (baseball, basketball, soccer/football, handball, field hockey, volleyball and water polo). If that's not enough: the application is free. Not convinced yet? The product page also features an iPAQ giveaway, where you can win a HP iPAQ rx3715 or a rz1715. If they weren't sponsored by HP, I would question their business model. Giving away devices with their free software. It shouldn't get any crazier than that.

Just downloaded it. They have a download counter on their page, I'm surprised it just at 70 downloads.

Nice!
Being that the Olympics are so far away this year, it'll be nice to have real time updates since the TV coverage will be after the fact.
Can it update itself through GPRS? I certainly hope so. I'm going to Install this as soon as I get home tonight!

neat, I'll try that later.
I wonder if there's something similar but more complete than just team sports?!
PCdeBolso's giveway main questions are to know if VGA and USB (host I presume) capabilities are important, yet none of the giveway devices have them 8O 8O
BTW I could not find info on the rx3700 series devices on HP's site 8O

When the Olympics were in USA we had to stay up during the night to watch them live. Fortunately for you now you can watch them live in the morning or at noon. More fortunately for us this year we will see the Games from the stadium's seats!
I'll post for you photos from the Opening Ceremony...

Whoa, cool! Somebody on the inside!
Yeah, be sure to post some pictures for us...live if possible. I'm setting up a projector and big screen at church for some of us to watch on Friday night. I'll be looking for the pictures when I get back!
