CNET Preview of HP 4700, with Video
Interested in the HP 4700 and want to see more of it? CNET have got a preview up with several screenshots of the unit from multiple angles and more usefully, a video of the beast in action. It certainly is nice to see it 'in the round' as it were, but personally I really want to hold one to see what the touchscreen/virtual joypad feels like. Still not convinced

Yah the 4th run through of the of video I'm thinking this thing is going to be pretty dang huge. Here's hoping Bonnie has the world's smallest hands.
I can't wait for someone to get their hands on one of these suckers for a full blown review. Whoever gets the first review up better talk to their provider about getting more bandwidth for the month. They are going to need it.

Size of the hz4700
Lots of people have complained about the size of the the iPAQ hz4700, but compare its dimensions and weight with those of the 2215:
It's 0.02" thinner.
It's 0.03" wider.
It's 0.63" longer (just slightly more than the width of the 2215).
It weighs 1.5 oz. more.
Don't you think the extra width, length, and weight are a modest trade-off for the 4" VGA display?

A little wider here, a little longer there, a tad heavier there...it all adds up in the end.

I'm still a fan of the D-Pad. If I had a chance to play with it, I might change my mind, but I'm not grooving on that touchpad.

You even changed your Avatar, I see.
I really can't wait to see this device in person. It looks revolutionary in more ways than one. I won't be purchasing one, but I certainly want to try it.
And it does look pretty big in that video, but after owning an Axim X5, I bet I could handle it.
