Default Riverland Screensaver - Now For Pocket PCs

http://www.handyent.com/riverlandppc/

Are you the type of person who keeps their Pocket PC docked and wants it to display something interesting? If so, you might want to check this neat little screensaver out, which was previously available for Palms but now also Pocket PCs.

"Real-time screensaver for Windows Mobile Pocket PC. The picture on the screen comes alive and lives by your watches. Relaxing riverland scenery and unexampled realism will keep you watching for life on the screen from dawn to sunset. Bundled with screensaver manager Riverland Screensaver can auto-launch while on AC power, on battery power, or both."

It's available for $4.95 (50% off) for a limited time. You can download a trial or purchase a copy from Handango. There's even a MIPS version for you Casio HAST-screen owners. 8) [Affiliate]

May I be the first to say... that this thing is freaking awesome. I love the artistic style, I love the barely noticable, short animations, I love the transitions and the smoothness... Wow. I have it set to real time, and it fits my mood perfectly.

Now, if only this could be combined with real-time weather effects, where it would load data from weather.com or something if you put in the zip code. Haha, I'm dreaming though. But this is truely amazing and relaxing.

Hello!

Thank you for your feedback.

Riverland Screensaver 2.0 is in the development. New type of 'clever' animations and weather effects are among key version improvements. Please, stay tuned for the release later this year.

Funny, I was looking for a PPC version of this just last week. I purchased, but I can't figure out how to get to the settings, and I can't seem to find any help or documentation. Can you point me in the right direction?

The PalmOS version is sweeter due to the support for HVGA. Bring The Matrix screensaver for PPC. I have it running on my T3 and it is the most realistic Matrix screensaver ever.

Most of you youngins' probably wouldn't remember it  , but I wish someone would port the old Johnny Castaway screen saver to Pocket PC! (It was an old Windows 3x screen saver)...

Was it that long ago? That thing wasted more time than solitaire

That was its name... I was trying to remember. I loved that thing! And Sven was 100% correct. The hours I watched that thing for...
