Skweezer Updated To v. 2.0
A while back I tried out a new mobile device portal service from Greenlight Wireless called Skweezer and liked it a lot, mostly because it did a very good job of formatting Web sites for the Pocket PC screen. Now, Skweezer's been updated with some new enhancements.
"Skweezer is a service that makes browsing the Web on a PDA or smartphone faster, easier, and better. Skweezer 2.0 optimizes Web content for your wireless-ready handset, reformatting Web pages so that they're easier to view, load faster, and have a smaller file-size."
Skweezer's main features are:
Works on many types of mobile devices Heightened security capabilities Customizable Integrated POP3 e-mail
You can try Skweezer out for 30 days free of charge. Or, you can buy a 12-month subscription for $14.99. If you do a lot of Web surfing with your Pocket PC, I'd recommend giving the free demo a try.
OR........
You can take your shot at winning a FREE 12-month subscription! Greenlight Wireless is going to give two lucky Thoughts readers a free 1-year subscription to Skweezer. If you'd like a shot at winning this subscription, all you have to do is post a response to this thread. In your response, include at least one unique reason why you think it would be cool to have Skweezer on your Pocket PC.
As always, there are a few extra rules:
You may enter only once. You may only enter a reason that nobody else has posted. You must enter before 1:00am EST August 3, 2004. You may not question the selection of the winners. You may not whine.
Good luck!

I work for a Not For Profit and must visit a number of companies and individuals to help them understand our educational, conservation and volunteer mission. I also visit senior citizens and others in order to educate them as to our mission and accomplishments.
I present information with PowePoint Presentations via my PocketPC and its presentation software.
We have developed an attractive website that helps with this education and also have a movie about the Land Between The Lakes National Recreation Area.
I would love to be able to use this program to display my Not For Profit Site WWW.FriendsofLBL.org in an enhanced, more easily read manner. This will allow presentation of the purpose of my group during these visits to be more readily understood.
I hope to become a winner of the contest. Thank you for offering such a contest benefit for PocketPC owners.

I'd use it to provide effective online support from my Pocket PC through the online forums pages of sites like ops: my own ops:
Also it would be great to be able to read www.geekzone.co.nz on my Pocket PC with the page nicely formatted....

I'd use it to manage PocketGamer.org from the road!

Skweezer
Because it would make it easier to order pizza on-line on my HP 6315.

I would be able to access many sites that are too complex to bother accessing with my Pocket PC using just the Internet Explorer provided with Win CE.

Accessing more sites related to my work would be a lot easier to do while on the road.

Looks like a great program!
I am currently stationed overseas and my PPC is the only computer I have easy access to. This will make my internet, and emails with the family a lot easier until I return to the States.
