The 1715 is in stock, but the other two show out of stock with "Ships on August 26" for the shipping time frame. It sounds like another month before these two are available. HP sure it taking it's sweet time in getting their new PDA's out the door.
I'm thinking that Dell may release a 2nd WMSE device by the time HP actually gets around to releaseing their first. The rz1715 doesn't count since it's just an overpriced kiddy toy.

Anyone else suprised to see the 6300 coming in cheaper than the 4700? It makes some sense but kind of wierd considering the amount of stuff crammed in the 6300.... I wish I could see some bencmarks on the TI chip as well. Oh and one more thing anyone else notice the specs sheet on HPShopping lists the processor as 168 Mhz not 200 mhz as in all the reviews popping up...[/list]

Ordered mine this morning on ecost.com. They had a special price of $599 on a "checkout" special. Have to be patient, have to be patient (chanting)...

Did ecost charge your card on ordering?

They say button...not touchpad. I wonder if the touchpad is tactile a la the iPod?
I am also surprised to see the 6300 cheaper.

Not really. 4700 has VGA screen, more memory, faster processor, more professional casing, CF slot, BT1.2. On the other hand the 6300 has a VGA camera and the GSM radio.
As for processor speed: OMAP 1510 has a DSP processor which runs at 200MHz while the core ARM chip runs at 168MHz. Im' a little bit sad, that HP went with such an old chip, TI had since several new generations from this OMAP family. But I can see the reason, as this device comes clearly from a WANDA refenece design (which was based on OMAP1510)
Well. At least the battery life is great

Not so excited
I was so excited for the new HPs.. Especially the ones with the integrated camera. But I have to be honest. I dont see that much to be excited about. I think HP really dropped the ball on this one. Their low end model is 285 bucks. My X30 high was purchased for 304 shipped with 1 year replacement included and has a faster processor. I just dont see how HP will be able to compete. I also think that having to wait till end of August is a bit excessive. WEll, I'm disappointed as I was hopeing to get my hands on one of these new HPs but guess I'll keep my x30 High as it has everything I want in a PDA w/ the exception of the integrated camera.

Hah, it's really funny to see the 1945 and the 1715 side by side on the HPshopping site. For *exactly* the same price, you can get 1945 which is clearly better in every aspect (except it does not have the WM2003SE)
I'm really wondering who will buy the 1715 ???? :?
Update: Hahah, just checked. the 1715 comes with 90day warranty vs 1945 with 1year ???
