Default JGUI's EXSMS: Chat Interface For SMS Messaging

http://www.jgui.net/exsms/

If you've ever got caught in a situation where you're SMSing messages with a friend back-and-forth, you might want to check this program out. It essentially sets up a chat-like interface frontend to the SMS backend on Pocket PC Phones and Smartphones; it's not as slick as AIM, of course, but SMS is more widely supported -- you can exchange messages with friends who use ordinary cell phones as well.

You can download a trial or purchase a copy from Handango. [Affiliate]

Haven't tried this, but be careful, as plenty of people have had problems with crashing, freezing, and all sorts of bugs with JGUI in the past, although they've got some cool ideas.

Yes - that's the one concern. Still, there are people out there who have very large SMS buckets.

This is exactly how my Treo 600 does SMS. It's a very nice feature to have, especially since SMS is much more like chatting then email (for a lot of people) since you can be sending messages back and forth quickly.

Is there any way to "broadcast" a message to multiple recipients with this? I've been looking for a good way to do that, I don't really like the contact/group manager features on my cellphone.

For your pleasure! Candy!
Am I the only one who is a bit disturbed by those sample messages?

I was thinking exactly the same thing.... Pleasure and Candy in the same context sends strange messages to me at least.
