Default HandyLabs Releases Poom .NET 1.0

http://www.handylabs.com/default.aspx

HandyLabs, a company in the developer tools and components market, has just released the first version of Poom .NET. POOM is short for "Pocket Outlook Object Model", a built-in interface provided by Microsoft to let developers build applications that use data from Calendar, Contacts, and Tasks.

Developers that use .NET Compact Framework does not yet have an easy way to reach the "Pocket Outlook" data. Code gets complex and third party components that wrap around the complex bits are welcome. Poom .NET from HandyLabs is $26.00 and can be downloaded from Handango. A free trial version is available.
Features include:
  • Basic POOM functionality:
    Appointments
    Cities
    Contacts
    Tasks
  • Cities list (PPC 2000)
  • Timezones list
  • Change notifications
  • Data Binding
  • Runtime property checks
  • Native auto-deployment
  • Native auto-selection

"Poom" means "fart" in Brazilian Portuguese.

Hope they don't try to market this in Brazil!
