Default Cheap, Simple DIY Car Holder For Your Pocket PC

http://www.ppcw.net/?itemid=1980

Forum member ID64 over at PPCW.Net has posted pics and instructions of a Sony Ericsson cell phone holder that he modified to accommodate an iMate. While this is cool in its own right, I don't see any reason why the same procedure can't be done for regular, non-phone Pocket PCs. This is a great solution if you want an easy, convenient way to listen to music, view/control GPS programs, etc.

There are apparently even screw holes in the back of the unit, which should make attaching it to a Panavise mount even easier. Of course, you could always use a vent-mount, but where's the fun in that? The Sony Ericsson HCH-30 can be purchased for only $19.95 through Amazon. [Affiliate] What do you think? Does this seem both useful and easy enough to try, or would you rather go with a "finished" all-in one product, like a Seidio mount?

It can be done for any PocketPC for sure It really depends of the connector at the bottom. Funny thing - I have this moded holder almost for 2 years since my XDA 1

By the way, I can send one unit for review if you willing to supply original Ericsson holder and connector for PDA. Please, contact me at [email protected] if interested.

Thanks
