Candian Pay as You Go Phone
Hi,
I am heading to Montreal for a few days and could really do with keeping in touch whilst I am there. A UK company offers phone calls from the UK to Canadian mobiles at 1p per minute, so I was thinking of getting a pay as you go mobile phone in Montreal.
Can anyone tell me if Canada has PAYG mobiles, how much they are and what I need to do to get one?
Thanks,
Andy

Well, we have Pay As You Go from Rogers, Prepaid from Fido, and Pay & Talk from Telus...
Their websites have list of phones available, as well as further information on PAYG.
Hope this helped a little! ^_^

if yo already have a cell phone that is comp[atible with any of our networks, you would do yourself a favor by siply signing it up to a pay as you go plan, otherwise you would be stuck with a cell phone you have no use for after your 3 days

Unfortunately my current phone is a 3G mobile in the UK. As well as being the worst mobile phone provider in the UK, with about 70% dropped calls, terrible coverage and sickingly bad customer service, apparently just putting a regular SIM in the phone will break either the SIM or the phone, or both. This might not be true, but as I am trying to return the phone I don't want to find out.
Thanks for the thought though.
