Default Midtown Madness Video Preview

http://www.pocketgamer.org/video/

"This is a preview video taken of the Pocket PC port of Midtown Madness - it is not endorsed by the developers and may well have been taken while the game is in beta. The quality of the video should not be taken to reflect the quality of the final game."

Wow, this looks amazing! The frame rate looks quite playable, and if this is only a "rough cut" of the game, I bet it will look even better after some polishing. There doesn't seem to be any firm information about who's doing this, but remember how Microsoft announced a few months back they were working on porting their gaming titles to the Pocket PC? It would seem that this is the first step toward that. Excellent - the Pocket PC platform needs more top-tier games!

Wow, sweet. What device is that on? Looks like 640x480, but it's hard to tell.

Pretty cool. This was a Microsoft game? Any idea which ones they might be porting over?

To WM2003SE, I hope...

Definately a 2215. The game must support a landscape mode, so it probably is just running the 2003 OS. It looked like the operator was tilting the device to drive - was he/she using one of those sweet tilting thingies, or did they just "lean" like an old school Nintendo gamer?

Careful guys--over at PocketGamer.org, almost everybody is wary that this video could be a forgery. It would be really easy to make a 320x240 video of the game playing on a PC, and then slap it into Windows Media Player for kicks. We don't know anything about the source of the video, after all.

I think you're right, could be a video playing from a pc game. When the car crashes, he doesn't budge, like he knew it was going to happen. He also hides his right thumb where it would be controlling the position of the car. I bet it's fake. Not bad, not bad at all.
