Default A Collection Of MY Kind Of Games

http://www.handango.com/brainstore/...roductId=122472

It is amazing just how many types of games there are for the Pocket PC. Some of them are frantic, arcade-style games, but there are also more calm, strategy-based games. If you happen to like playing board games, here is a collection of games from Pocket Adventures that have been dutifully ported to the Pocket PC.

The games look beautiful and are packed with features:

Five difficulty levels for each game
Outstanding graphics and audio by Jaybot7
Human vs Computer, Human vs Human and Computer vs Computer
Hints (Can be turned on and off)
 Unlimited undo
 Save/Load buttons
 Fully skinnable boards and pieces

These games might not have "body counts" or laser guns like some of the other Pocket PC games, but they are still classics and offer great challenges to your strategic abilities. There is a free demo available and a full version for $9.99 via Handango.

I have been playing around with this for the past couple of weeks and it is a very well executed package, simple to play and very nice looking.

Downloaded the trial. Looks like some great games. I've gotten into the (bad?) habit of buying a lot of low-priced Pocket PC apps recently. Somehow they're adding up quickly. lol

There are many freeware versions of all of these, but this game does look like it is a bit better in terms of quality. Still, if you like this sort of thing you're really only paying for the look with this one.

This game looks very nice.

I wonder how good the chess engine is? Does anyone happen to know off hand?

I wrote the maker of the software. They never returned my email. I find the Chess too powerful for beginners who just want to have some fun.

You're right that there may be other freeware games out there like this, but I don't always mind paying for a clean, nice interface.
