Default Zerama Remote 4.0 Released - Media Player Remote Control

http://www.zerama.net/ZeramaRemoteSummary.aspx

Dan Tanzer dropped us an email to let us know that he has just released Zerama Remote version 4.0. "Zerama Remote turns your Wi-Fi or BlueTooth enabled Pocket PC into the ultimate Windows Media Player Remote Control. Control your PC's Windows Media Player from your Pocket PC."

All the new features were apparently customer requested. The full feature set includes:

  • Basic Player controls: Play, Pause, Stop, Next, Previous, Shuffle and Repeat.
  • Offline library browsing: stores library on the Pocket PC for quicker start up.
  • Library sorting options include: Artist/Album/Song, Genre/Artist/Song etc.
  • Seemless integratation with the desktop's Media Player 9:
  • Drop a CD in the player or select an artist in Windows Media Player and the changes are picked up by the remote.
  • Library quick search alphabet bar.
  • Desktop full screen video mode, great for Video playback and Visualizations
  • Playlist Mangager easily creates, deletes, and modifies playlists: Create a playlist with a single click!
  • Improved Connectivity: Auto Connection: configure the remote once and at start up it will automatically reconnect
  • Auto Reconnect: Automatically establishes connection when Pocket PC wakes up.
  • Multi Server DropDown: for multiple server users, easy dropdown functionality. Multi-Pocket PC connection
  • Album Art and MetaData & Lyrics

Zerama Remote costs $10, and of course there is a trial version available here. 8) Give it a go and let us know what you think. When I get either WiFi or Bluetooth I look forward to trying it out myself.

Default A good candidate to replace Vinyl 1.0 on my PPC

This player appears to have the features that Pocketwerks' Vinyl should've added long ago. I'm giving it a try.

Man, that nag screen is sooooo annoying. It seems to scamble up my playlists on the pocket PC - anyone else had a problem? It would be awesome to have a multimedia centre PC in the lounge with this as the remote...

The longer the better, so 7 days would be good.

I'll head over to the web site and buy a copy to try - after all $10 is an awesome price for the software and report any problems I have.

Default Thanks

It's priced to please.

If you are interested in reporting problems you are welcome to join our beta team. My beta team is entirely made up of my customers. They are very active and drive the new features for each version. I try to include everything they suggest because most of the ideas are great. For instance one customer/beta tester i will call Mark (i will hide his true identity ) , his wife likes to sing to the music, so after a bit of a discussion I reconfigured the application to include the embedded lryics and from windows media player. From what i hear, she loves this feature and has added lyrics to about 500 songs so far.

I have been working to make Zerama Remote the best windows media remote in the market place and believe you me there are some good alternatives. If you have any suggestions to make my software better , feel free my email is [email protected]

Default Rudeo

I have installed a similar product, from www.rudeo.com
It seems to work well so far, and it is possile to install the pocket pc client on one pc and the server software on a different PC running wmp 9 or the windows media center software.
