Abidia Puts Ebay On Your Pocket PC
http://www.abidia.com/
"Are you an eBay user who doesn't always have the time to sit in front of your computer and manage your auctions? If you could, wouldn't you take them with you? Experience the freedom and portability of having your eBay account on your PDA or cellular phone."
The software is free but access to the databases that make it work is $2.99 per month.

this would come in handy, but I think I'd rather pay one up-front cost than monthly. If you are a big seller, you would likely need this.

:confused totally:
Umm... Why would I pay for something that eBay gives away for free?
wap.ebay.com
Sure, it's WML, but, umm, that's the point right? Works great with PocketIE and any of the phones I've tried.
I haven't actually _tried_ abidia, but I've found that when I just want to quickly review pending auctions wap.ebay.com works great (when going to the my ebay page). WHen I really want to search, etc., Thunderhawk to the rescue.
Now if there was a WAP version of www.auctionsniper.com... that would more useful, but not with a "per month" pricing model.

Abidia Wireless is licensed with a subscription model that may be billed directly by the cellular provider or Abidia depending upon the platform you are using. For the duration of the license you will be able to search, browse, bid, and monitor auctions without restrictions.

Am I wrong in understanding that it's usage is billed via normal GPRS channels?
Having had a look at it, and a brief 'play', on a P900, seems quite useful in itself - although I haven't checked out the wap version etc etc yet...

Err - Because you pay for your connection anyway, so perhaps the interface is better?
I still don't know if I've got the wrong end of the stick here or what... Someone care to put me out of my misery?!
