Default Survey: What Vertical Market Do You Work In?

This is the last of our recent user surveys - it focuses on which vertical market you're employed in. If your vertical market is not listed, please select the "Rest of Market" option. If you are not employed at the moment, please do not vote in the poll - click on the DISCUSS link to see the results. Thank you!

Yet another post aimed away from us students who use our Pocket PCs as vital tools in our higher education... there'd better be a student-only poll after this so we don't get disenfranchised.

These polls are driven by the needs of a specific advertiser to judge whether or not Pocket PC Thoughts will be a good venue for them, and let's just say they're not targeting students. ;-)

I'm all for doing a student poll though to learn more about people in school using Pocket PCs - what would you suggest I ask?

A quick response to a fake complaint... not bad.

I honestly have no reason for a student poll, but we students just feel left out when we can't click the buttons on the front page. I'd probably say students aren't a big enough portion of the PPC community to warrant specialized advertising spots or surveys, so we'll suffer through being "ignored" for a little longer

For the most part, insurance and financial services are intertwined these days. I work for one of the nation's largest insurance companies, which happens to also be one of the nations largest financial services companies.

The Telecomm industry used to be one of the major categories in most such polls. Now that I'm in the business it's just part of "other". :?

BTW: Jason - before you assume this comment needs a reply, I should add a:

Heck, I'm surprised to see Higher Education there. Usually, we're lumped in with something else or ignored altogether.

Where does software belong? Could be Professional Services, but in UK parlance that tends to mean lawyer/accountant/architect etc. Otherwise I think I'll be reduced to Rest of Market, as software companies have customers in all of the markets listed.
