Default MobileLeap's Mobile Translation Site

http://mobileleap.net/mobile/translation/

If you surf the 'Net a lot with your Pocket PC, and are frustrated at PIE's "Size to Fit" capability, check this (seemingly free) site out. It gives you a field for a URL, and proceeds to reformat the site aggressively so that handheld web browsers display the content in a useful fashion. I tried it with a couple of sites and it looks very good -- I'll certainly be bookmarking it.

I swear that was posted here before...

A rather useful site, imo, but I wonder how much bandwidth the transleted sites use vs the normal sites?

Where can I download that PPC start page you posted in the screenshot?

And if you want my tweaked info page, that's here. Just drop it into the directory that has all the other html files in the download.

I was looking at that one earlier as well, but I wasn't on my PPC so I didn't register.

I saw both of these demonstrated at the Ontario PPC User Group meeting last night (great demo, BTW). All of the sites they put through the translators came out great. This is a great technology for mobile browsing.

It's a nice site to have. I had once thought that it would be necessary to have websites standardize with webservices components so that you can simply plug the website's information into an application for optimal screen usage. (or even RSS feeds) but having this site or others like it is good enough for now.

I tried making one myself but i got really annoyed coding the screen scraping. =)
