Default Listen To Inexpensive Audio Books On Your Pocket PC

http://telltaleweekly.com/

"Telltale Weekly seeks to record, produce, and sell performances of at least 50 public domain texts a year, with the intention of releasing them under the Creative Commons Attribution License five years or a hundred thousand sales after their first appearance here, whichever comes first. Your purchases help us to build and/or contribute to a free audio equivalent of an online library."

Their library is rather limited but they just got started a few months ago and seem to be holding to the one book a week plan. If you want to listen to some ebooks on your Pocket PC and help out a project getting public domain books in audio format for an affordable price, you should check Telltale Weekly out.

This look good. I love audiobooks and I love the Creative Commons.

I gave it a try. Not bad. I don't usually listen to audio book on PPC. I tried Audible.com once and didn't actually get anything because of my low usage. I just want to find out from those who listen to audio books or magazine on their PPC, is this the normal size?

A Dog's Tale (a 52-page paperback)
by Mark Twain
20 minutes, 55 seconds
Unabridged Short Story
1904

MP3; 96kbps; 44.1 kHz; 14.3MB
Ogg Vorbis (.ogg); 96kbps; 10.7MB

It depends on the book. The Hobbit at Audible is 6-7 hours long.

Thanks, Ed.

I am wondering about file size. Probably need another SD card just for all the audio books.
