Pocketnow Reviews the Bluetooth Slipper Kit - Fuzzy Bunnies Not Included
"My only hangup with GPS units in the past was the fact that I had to be either wired to the GPS itself, or attach a large sled to the unit (when using a handheld). And I certainly didn't want to dish out the cash for a stand-alone unit. Haicom generously offered to send us one of their Bluetooth Slipper (and the included GPS Receiver)."
"The Bluetooth Slipper kit comes with a plethora of options in the box. With this kit, you can either run it in Bluetooth mode (with the slipper), Mouse mode (to your laptop with the included PS/2 connector), or CF mode (the included GPS receiver). The battery life on this unit is also quite amazing - reports of anywhere from 8-14 hours on a single charge."
In addition to being cool in its own right, the Bluetooth Slipper is welcome news for anyone with an existing Haicom CF GPS card. Kudos to Haicom for not forcing existing users to upgrade to a new model!
And NO, you will not need "rabbit ears" to get good reception.

I got that one
Well I just received this gps 2 weeks ago, and I must say that I'm very impressed with it. I used to have a Pharos CF gps, which was ok. Compared to this one though it was very very slow. It had a very hard time locking to satellites, without the external antena. The Haicon gps locks in, in seconds, and even works from inside my house. The version I received did not come with any mapping or navigation software, which was fine since I have a few left overs from the previous gps. The bluetooth setup was a brieze, both with my ipaq 2215 and my Fujitsu P5020D laptop. The battery on the gps is great. With my very unofficial testing it lasted for about 10 hours. In my opinion the best thing about this gps is that if the battery in bluetooth sliper dies, you can take out the gps and install it in the CF slot of your pda. I highly recommend it.

I ordered my from Semsons - http://www.semsons.com/
It all took about a week to get to Edmonton. A note though, since the order was for more than 100us, I had to fax them my identification (it's a rule they have). Other than that it doesn't come with a wall charger, just a car cigaret lighter charger.
The price after conversion was better than anyone else in Canada and that included shipping.

Wow, after reading that, I thought this was an article on Bluetooth Slippers, like the kind you wear on your feet. "I wonder what you would use Bluetooth Slippers for", is the thought that ran through my mind.
